Wow!

Weblogger is pretty cool. Granted, the back-end is Windows… and it doesn’t have a nifty-keeno-cool OS-native client like LiveJournal does… but still.

Its templating system is superb. Its macro support is fascinating. Its Plug-In support is easy as pie. And its web based interface just makes sense all the way around.

I would like to see a lot of its features in LiveJournal. I know I could code it…. but trying to incorporate the existing LiveJournal style system, user entries, user data, uploaded picture information, FAQ, topics, and comments make it MUCH more difficult.

Something to think about anyway.

“writer, bowler, revolutionary”

Elizabeth (*waves*) directed me towards Mr. David Grenier’s site (via a LiveJournal comment). This man’s entry entitled "F**k the vote!" brings up a good point. Read what he has to say. If anything, it’ll give you lazy-ass, couch-potato, I-did-my-American-duty-and-voted people something to think about.

you, yes YOU, matter!!

Yet another interesting point. I am not certain how accurate this is, but it is something to think about.

For those of you who are sitting by idly as your country is about to be placed in the hands of the incompetent… get off your ass and make a difference.

One voice, yes JUST ONE VOICE, makes a difference if it is loud enough.

Spread the word.

This is Direct Blatant Theft of Jennie‘s words:

nader is college radio. you can turn it on and hear QUALITY music, it’s for the people.

gore, he’s like matchbox twenty and the goo goo dolls. complete shit but somewhat tolerable.

bush is the lite rock station. he plays what he thinks the old people want to hear, and it’s what the old people think they want to hear.. michael bolton, kenny g., corporate sponsored airbrushed bullshit.

I don’t think I could have said it any better.

I would have been elated with Browne. I would have been incredibly happy with Nader. I would have been somewhat content with Gore. But Gee-Dubya?

Fucking Christ.

It’s not over yet, I guess. Gore still has a chance.

Regardless of the outcome, it is still incredibly appalling that approximately 50% of this nation voted for Bush. Do people really know what they are voting for… or are they just voting for Bush because he’s “Republican”?
