Jaclyn fell asleep. What a great movie partner.

Now it’s time for me to go to bed. And I didn’t do any laundry today. Not sure what I am going to wear to work tomorrow. Maybe I’ll just call in sick. Not having clean laundry is a good reason for a sick day, don’t you think?

Watching “The Way of the Gun” with Jaclyn.

waiting by the phone…

Ashley finally called.

She gave me the excuse that she had to bring her roommate to work. I think it would have been nice if she had called when she found out she had to do so. Especially since I am waiting to take lunch for her.

*sigh*

Ok. Heading to the “Cosmic Cafe” to meet her.

it’s all in the cards

Some time ago, when Misty and I were still hanging out a lot, Misty went to a Psychic, and I sat in the Living Room of this lady’s house as her reading was performed in one of the bedrooms.

The lady mentioned a man for Misty and, because Misty asked, a girl for me. I joked with Misty when she offered me a description of the girl: about five feet tall, 100 lbs or so, brown hair, light eyes, cheerleader type, very cute. I joked, because, at that time I was infatuated with Ashley, and the description was of her, save that Ashley had VERY blonde hair. I laughed and said that if Ashley would just dye her hair, I would be set. The lady also mentioned a man for Misty: tall, dark hair, dark eyes, a pilot, a little older.

Shortly thereafter, Misty and I started dating, and Misty would always comment about how wrong the psychic was since we were together, which, even though I knew Misty and I wouldn’t last (thankfully), I did agree with her that the Psychic couldn’t have been more off. What we both failed to realize was that, even though the Psychic said these people should come into our lives by the end of November, she also said that that could be delayed if Misty didn’t stop alluding herself and start following the path she was destined for.

That brings me to yesterday. Not too long ago, Misty came over here, and I showed her a picture of Ashley. Yesterday, I get an email from Misty that pointed out the fact that not only did her current man accurately fit the Psychic’s description, but, though she couldn’t be sure, she believed Ashley fit the description that was offered to me.

I hadn’t realized it before yesterday, but Ashley has died her hair light brown (she did this shortly before New Years Day when we first started “hooking up”). And she does fit that description… perfectly. From the height, to the weight, to the fact that she was a cheerleader when she was in school.

The other funny thing is that I haven’t seen Ashley in well over a week. Yesterday, she called to ask me to meet her for lunch. I told her that I was at lunch already, and that if she wanted a lunch date she would have to ask the morning of, or the day before, and not wait until 12:30pm. She then immediately asked for a lunch date today, to which I agreed.

Somehow, I don’t think the relationship Ashley and I have will mature into what the Psychic said it would, but still, it gives me hope. And because of that, I find myself very silly right now.
