No offense, Gwen (or Brad)… but… um… no. However, I would like to state that your breath was lovely last night, Gwen.
My boss asked for a spreadsheet showing him all of the projects I am currently working on, and when I estimate they will be completed. I hate doing crap work like that.
I got a new machine a work. A PIII 800. I am pretty happy with it. The sound card is supported under Linux (my old computer’s sound card wasn’t). Unfortunately the OSS drivers have a bitrate sampling problem for this card (i810 using ac97 codec) which makes the sound very staticy and means that I have to make constant adjustments to settings in order to make sure the sounds are being played the proper speed. This really got me the first time I fired up my mp3 player. I started grooving along, yet could tell something was a little off. I eventually figured out that the song was being played just a tad too slow. Eventually, I went through the chore of installing ALSA, and everything works beautifully now.
Brad, Jaclyn, Gwen, David, Julie, Amanda and I all had a beer drinkin’, punk rock fest at the new place last night. Had a very good time.
Tom and I are about to head off to saltgrass for a nice, thick, rare Ribeye steak. Mmmm.
