wrong button!!

I got in late last night… sometime around 3am, if memory serves me correctly. I sat down at my computer and logged into to the network at work to finish up some database clean-up I kicked off before I left. Then I went to bed.

I knew I had to be up in time to get to work at 11am in order to migrate some servers into the climate controlled equipment room, so I set my alarm clock. My goal was to set the alarm ahead by three hours, which meant it would go off around 8:30 and I would be up by 9:00

The alarm rang, I got up.. showered, make coffee, etc etc. 10:45am rolled around and I grabbed my cell phone and started heading down the stairs. I starting dialing the telephone number to one of my employee’s homes to make sure he was going to meet me there when I realized something. My cell phone clock said 8:45am.

Somehow, when setting my alarm clock, I managed to set the actual time ahead by two hours, and the alarm time ahead by three hours, which means it rang at 6:30am… but it said 8:30am.
Ugh.

Off to work now.

Pig Squiggle

Boss: What’s Pig Squiggle?
Me: Pig Squiggle?
Boss: Yeah.
Me: I have no clue.
Boss: Well I just got your email that says you removed Pig Squiggle support from PHP.
Me: Ahhhhhh. That’s Postgres database support (pgsql), and we don’t need it.
Boss: Ok. Good Job.
Me: Thanks.
