it's been one week

The coffee date two Thursdays ago with justheather went pretty good. I was a bit upset when she was 30 minutes late, and was honestly in my truck and ready to leave when I saw her cross the parking lot. I am glad I stayed though. We had a great time and she is an interesting conversationalist. Hopefully we'll do it again some time soon.

Monday night was bowling. I bowled pretty well, had a great time, and *gasp* smoked two cigarettes. The best part is that I didn't have any additional cravings the next day. In fact, I think the remainder of my cravings were due to me having a problem with not being allowed to do something. And by smoking, I was telling myself, "You can do this if you want do". And since I am now allowed to smoke, and am choosing not to, the cravings have disappeared completely. At least I think that is how that is working.

Wednesday night, farrisgoldstein>, , , and I went out to the drum circle at the Across the Street Bar. We had a good time. After the drum circle we went to 's rehearsal studio to goof off a bit. Bugg let me play the drums for a few minutes and he said he was impressed. That made me pretty happy. A few days later at lunch, Farris concurred with that statement and went on to say that with a couple months of regular practice, I would be good enough to play for real.

Thursday night I went over to my bosses ex-bosses house in order to help him with some new computer equipment he got. I set up a print server, a Linksys router, two printers, a wireless hub, and a wireless network card in about 1.5 hours. I was glad to get out of there as soon as I could. He pisses me off owning all of that cool stuff and not even knowing how to use it. He new job pays him so much money to do practically nothing. In his office he had all kinds of stuff written on his whiteboard, which at first glance looked official and important. Closer observation showed them to be instructions on downloading music via Napster. Um. Ok. After that I went to have dinner with Kim, then watched Charmed at her place, then went to see Julie to make final arrangements foe which prints she would need for the following day.

Friday I didn't feel like working, and wanted to make sure I got Julie's prints done so I took the day off of work. As usual, my boss ended up calling me and having me work a little anyway, but I didn't really mind. I met Farris for lunch, and spent a lot of time relaxing. It was good. I brought Julie her prints at 5pm or so and then that night was vertigo00oo's birthday party. I had a good time trying to flirt with Allison and left around 2am. Royce and Amanda were there which was both good and bad. I was glad to see her, and it was good to see him being nice and talkative and legal, but I would rather she just got rid of him all together. As Stacy was getting ready for bed, she realized her bottle of Gold Schlager was empty. I couldn't help but consider that it was Royce who finished it off.

Saturday, shutterbugg and I went to the Warehouse Photographic and then out to Dallas to try to find something interesting to make exposures of. I found the Portra 400BW film I had been wanting to try and picked up a 5-pack for $45. I hope it is worth it. We'll see. I had a good time with Miss Bugg, and hope we do something like that again soon.

Yesterday's brunch was great. Thanks to bongobanger> for the Mimosa's and to for allowing us to use his place and for the great breakfast. Afterwards, , , and and I went to Guitar Center to get a replacement head for my Djembe. I played with an electronic hand drum they had there, which was pretty cool, but not nearly as good as the real thing. After Guitar Center, we went to the Collin Creek mall and met back up with and (which is actually two people (errr. 1.5 people) if any of you were wondering). The four of us left the mall and met back up with and at Le Madeline's for Dinner. dropped me off at the Buggs' afterwards. I stayed there, watched The Simpsons and then headed home to get a pack of enlarger filters I am loaning Miss Bugg. After checking email and whatnot, I went back to the Buggs', dropped off the filters and came home.

And there it is.
