JIM sale… part II

I was half kidding and half serious about the JIM sale. I really do need money… and I do have a lot of junk I could sell. But when I posted that, I (jokingly) meant that EVERYTHING I had was for sale, which therefore means a list is really not needed, because I could never list ALL my belongings. That being said, in the truest of trues, I guess everything I have IS for sale… for the right price. For instance, I'd sell you my truck. But… you'd have to pay $16,000 (what I owe) for it… and it isn't worth that much. You could get a nice clean, truck from a respectable (hA!) used car dealership for less than that.

However, since people actually seemed interested, here are a few things I can think of off the top of my head that I could sell.

  • Two hand held construction halogen lamps boasting 500 watts of power each, with replacement bulbs.
  • A set of two construction halogen lamps mounted on a large tripod boasting 500 watts of power each, with replacement bulbs.
  • An Alpine V12 AMP (unsure of the wattage, ask and I'll go look). Used for about 6 months over a year ago. Still worked great then. Hasn't been used since. Has a large scratch on the top of it, but it sounds great (or did the last time I used it).
  • Me. In four hour increments. Prices vary depending on the task at hand. Specialize in cooking, cleaning, programming, photography, web design, and theological debate. Can also handle small acting jobs and would make a first class pornstar. Hire a programmer for your next party… you wont regret it.
  • Assorted computer equipment: PCI network cards, small (<4 Gb) IDE and SCSI hard drives, etc.
  • A Nokia 6185 cell phone (for the SprintPCS network).
  • A Sony something or other (I forget) cellphone (for the SprintPCS network).
  • A Carlos Acoustic guitar. Very warn. Needs a tress-rod adjustment and strings.
  • One cat. Very grumpy and spoiled. Pees on things when his box is not SPOTLESS. Partial to wet food. Currently meowing. The perfect size for a meal for eight. Goes good with Honey Mustard.
  • Any of my non-digital photography (The digital stuff isn't of high enough quality to print).
  • One Motorola Bitsurfer cable modem. I have been holding on to it after I stopped service with ATT@home. Not sure if it is good for anything.
  • One ADSL modem… I forget what kind.

That's a short list. I am somewhat of a packrat, so I have LOTS of junk that I don't need. At this point, just about everything I own is expendable… if I really needed it, I can always buy a new one when money isn't tight any more. If you don't have money, I'd be willing to barter. A 6 month insurance policy would be a nice thing to offer.

So who wants to buy my truck?
