A two hour Dawson’s Creek special. Does life get any better? Blech.
Update: Lying bitches. It’s a rerun.
because a Reverend can't be wrong.
The WIndows XP CD that I borrowed…. err.. I mean paid full price for… doesn’t work. The IDE-SCSI emulation layer in Linux had problems ripping the CD image in order to burn it. Would someone be willing to burn me a copy of theirs or let me borrow theirs long enough to either figure out how to fix my CD burner under Linux or give up and just install straight from the borrowed CD? Don’t worry… this is totally legal since I bought a copy for full price. The copy I bought is one that doesn’t require a secondary activation code. I am hoping to borrow one with this same feature. Thank you.
I remember my
first snowfall.
You and I
danced under the street light
in front of your house wearing
nothing
but the blanket we shared.
Thousands of snowflakes were falling.
I watched
as they landed on your flesh,
showed their faces for
nor more than a moment,
and then melted away under the
heat of your skin.
I don’t regret us as I have
learned from it all.
Many more have fallen
since you.
But now, I do not waste them
by allowing them to
burn on your skin
I open my mouth wide and
breathe them all in.
I don’t know if it is because I finally got enough sleep (it doesn’t seem like it) or if my body believes it will be going back to bed soon and therefore is not putting up a fight, but I am reasonably awake this morning.
I am already failing to keep my new years resolution this year as I still haven’t totally finished cleaning up from the party. I should finish that this evening. I also have to do some shopping as I am running out of basic things like dishwashing powder, laundry detergent, and paper towels.
Sarah and I had a good time last night. I had to kick her out around midnight because she just wouldn’t leave. In order to get her back, I gave her directions home that went through Oklahoma, making her trip 180 miles instead of the 30 miles it actually is.
I really don’t feel like going to work this morning. At all.
