The manual for my hot water heater says I should cut the power to it before adjusting the temperature settings on it. Normally I would say “screw that” but I am incredibly afraid of electrocution/explosions in large home appliances. I am not quite sure why. I remember when I moved into this apartment, my dryer took a different type of connector so I had to take off the old one and attach a new one and then plug it in. I was so afraid to turn it back on that I made Brad do it. I think I’ll cut the power.
