If you have a paid/permanent LJ account, and are getting frustrated with the slow service today, delete the cookie named “ljfastserver” (if your browser supports this) and things will speed up a bit for the time being. Do not attempt to logout and then log back in while checking the “don’t use fast servers” box. While this normally would achieve the same task, in this case it will not. The login pages automatically push users to the fast servers (to, usually, ensure that they are readily available for paid users), and the process that actually logs a user in is not responding with cookies. This means that if you log out you will not be able to log in again. If you don’t get a lot of friends-only posts on your friends list, and therefore don’t really NEED to be logged in, then just logging out of LJ (and staying logged out) should speed things up a bit for you.

No. That will not do anything to correct the fact that LJ is currently not notifying users via email of any new comments places on their posts or in response to other comments you have left.

Now please stop asking me why LJ is broke. Thanks.

Opera 6TP2 for Linux is my new best friend for one reason. Its user agent (after being set to emulate MSIE 5.0) and its javascript both pass the “test” as being MSIE 5.0 by the javascript based template that most every internal website here uses. This means I don’t have to switch over to windows or hack around with JavaScript code to find out what should have loaded.

Aside from that, it is very speedy, nice looking, and featureful. The Advertisements are annoying… but… you get what you pay for.

Oh my. This website (malespecies.com) sells all of the products I have been desiring and didn’t know anyone made. heh.

Actually… they do have some interesting things there such as hair mascara. While the name is truly retarded, I can appreciate a product like this.

My hair is slightly on the thin side, and slightly on the wavy side. I have a round face, and tend to prefer facial hair. Currently, my hair extends to my upper mid-back. Suggestions for new styles are being actively taken. Please post pictures.

I think all fast food chains serving burgers should sell square burgers for a day in his honor. They do, after all, have the best hamburgers available in a fast food setting. This is not opinion… this is fact.
