February 9th, 2002:

new name

Oh.. I almost forgot… after a billion names have been thrown around, the new cat now has an official name. Like his brother (Toby Kitty Puppy Poppy Beazer Weak-Sauce), he also has many, many names (the first of which he will be called most often):

Umlaut Tagert Chino New-Kitty Bitch-Cat Bastard

He likes his new name.

a list

This morning: do laundry, get dressed, sign paperwork, get gas, go to post office, go to grocery store, buy milk and kitty litter, come home, clean cat box, call sarah, find some lunch.

Dinner and servitude

I had a good time last night. Brad (sn0w_cr4sh>), Morgan, Zoe (), Justin (), Bonnie (), Jaclyn (), Sarah (), and I all went out to Outback for dinner. We waited about twelve hours to get seated, which was okay, because we spent time chit-chatting and what not. Dinner was good, but not great. Outback just isn’t my favorite place to eat steak.

While we were waiting to be seated, Sarah decided I was her slave, smacked me on the shoulder and said, “Daniel, go get me some crackers or something!”. I gave her a dirty “whatthefuck?” look, but I’m not sure she saw. A few others did, and smirked to show their understanding.

At dinner, Brad silently explained the dynamics of a “Donkey Punch” to Jaclyn. Watching the look on her face as he was telling her cracked me up. After the explanation was over, all Jaclyn had to say was, “Why would they call the woman a Donkey?”. I almost cracked in half laughing so hard.

At one point, the waiter brought Justin a Dr. Pepper, but he was drinking Coke. When the waiter was made aware of his folly he went to take Justin’s drink back when Sarah asked him “can I get another Dr. Pepper?”. So, the waiter asked her, “do you just want this one?”, to which she said, “no.”. Jaclyn tends to be a bit forthcoming in her conversations with others, so almost as instantly as Sarah said “no”, Jaclyn said, “Why not?!”. That prompted a barrage of questions from Jaclyn and ended with Sarah claiming “I just don’t want to get sick.” I guess Sarah just looks at it a little bit differently than most of us.

After dinner, we all went back to my place to sit and talk. Sarah left soon afterwards to go to a party over at Becca’s, and the rest of us stayed and talked a bit more. I had gotten up early yesterday morning, followed by a very late evening the night before, so I started dozing off. Everyone took that as a queue to leave. I went to bed almost immediately afterwards.

Lisa’s (starrla78) birthday party is tonight. That should be a good time. Amanda, David and Julie will be there, along with the usual crowd, I’m sure. Sarah and I are going to meet up sometime this afternoon, and then she is going to come with me tonight. Depending on how much I drink, we may end up spending the night there, so Sarah had to make sure that was okay with her folks before agreeing to going. I hope she has a good time. I tend to be a bit talkative with my friends, and I don’t want her to feel left out. I told her she didn’t have to go, but she said she wanted to. I think everything will be okay.
