April 2nd, 2002:

Umlaut and Gracie sitting in a tree…

Umlaut came back. He and Gracie are getting along okay, but not great. It seems as though Umlaut would be okay with her, if she would just leave him alone. But, she is a kitten. She wants to play and be inquisitive.

I think they’ll be okay together though. We’ll see.

Oh where, oh where has that Umlaut cat gone…

Bonnie came over to introduce Gracie to Umlaut. But, when we went to find Umlaut, he wasn’t here. He must have gotten out the front door when someone left or came in. We ran around the apartment complex looking for him, but couldn’t find him. Hopefully he will come home.

things to miss

One thing I am really going to miss about my old apartment is the kitchen.

very tired… quick update

The unpacking sucks. It’ll take a while. But the apartment is at least navigable now.

Bowling was last night. I bowled a 187, a 171, and a 147. My last score was so low because I was getting hot and my hand started to swell which made the ball stick to it. Then I found out Mike has some talc powder, so I applied it. Unfortunately, I accidentally applied rosin instead, which meant that the next time I threw the ball, it didn’t even come off my hand, and, if it had, it would have hit the ceiling. Then I applied the talc and bowled all strikes and spares for the rest of the game. We won all four games, and were playing the number one team. We were in third place, but I am pretty sure that’ll bump us up to second.

Another guy bowling on another lane actually DID hit the ceiling. The lights blew up, and dust and smoke went everywhere. It was pretty cool.

I’m about to go to Cheddars for lunch with Brad and Justin, and then we are all going to Fry’s. I still have to disconnect my phone, cable, and cable internet services. I also have to pick up the “D” tickets today.

Jaclyn’s coming over for a few hours after work to help me clean and buy me dinner. That’s a pretty good deal if you ask me.
