I bowled pretty bad tonight. But Mike and Robbie pointed out a few things that I was doing VERY wrong. During the last game, I started bowling better, but eventually got so caught up in correcting my mistakes that I only pulled a 147 out of it.

Now Joel and I are going back up to my work to do the networking stuff that we should have done yesterday if other people had done their jobs correctly.

My mom called me on my way to work this morning to tell me that my Uncle Mike is in town until next Monday. I want to go out to their place and see him this evening, but I don't know how possible that is. I have to bowl tonight, which means being in Denton by 10:00pm. Additionally, since I couldn't do the IP address migration last night, I have to do it tonight. And I am starving. I think I'll go home after work. Eat something. Try to clean up some. Go bowling. Then come home. Then do the IP address migration. Then go to bed. And then see my Uncle tomorrow.

Joel and I went up to my place of employment yesterday to move three machines to a new network segment and give them new IP addresses. We spent about 2 hours tracking network cables under the floor and finally came to the conclusion that the networking staff never activated our ports on the XLR. He also didn't run the cable properly. I'd be willing to overlook the cabling issues, as I can just run my own. But I can't get into the XLR. This means that I spent two hours looking for three unlabeled ports only to find they were never even turned on, even though the network people claimed they were.

Joel scooted around for some of the time (when I didn't have him helping me rip up flooring). He took a few pictures.

"Okay…. let's get started."

"If I were a network cable coming from the XLR, which one of these would I be, and why would I be run across the entire room under the floor when the installer could have easily used the patch panels, and why are there so many wires hanging out of this cabinet?"

"Hi. I'm Joel. By taking a picture of my own reflection in front of a computer running windows that has generated an error message, I'm trying to tell you that I'm tall, handsome, and that I enjoy the company of men. If you like scooting through equipment rooms, drinking coffee by the fire, and playing hide the carrot, then give me a call. BOX #22342″
