Ideas for Photo Album/Portfolio Script:
- Images are added to “rolls” via FTP and/or web upload.
- Images from “rolls” are added to albums and/or categories.
- Images can be resized on the fly, and the resized versions are cached.
- Images can be given a title, as well as a description.
- EXIF information should be pulled from the images and stored as image metadata.
- Additional metadata can be added to each image.
- Images can be hidden from plain view.
- Albums can be hidden from plain view.
- Search can be performed by title, date, description, or metadata.
- Featured photo should be selectable for each album.
- Albums can be nested.
- Photos can belong to more than one album.
- URLs should be short and simple.
- Hit counters and comments are nice additions, but should be added last.
- Users can select default size to view images at and this will be remembered via Cookie or Session variable.
- Interface should be templatable.
- Should have the features of Slooze, the cleanliness of Yappa, and the look / ease-of-use of Gallery.
barbequed arcade boxen
My Dad gave me the “okay” for this weekend.
So, for those of you who are interested in helping out, or just hanging out, we’ll be having an arcade box building, ha-dawg and hangaber grilling, get together this Saturday at my parent’s house. Be there around noon. RSVP required via email, or here. If you need directions, let me know.

If you need a specific tool in order to get what you need to do done, let me know, and I’ll make sure my dad has it before then, so we can find another place to borrow it if he doesn’t.
It’s probably best if you get all the supplies (paint, sandpaper, screws, nails, tools he doesn’t have, etc) before Saturday, so that we can go straight there on Saturday and start the fun.
