More truck news
June 14th, 2002Getting my truck taken care of at Toyota of Irving was an interesting experience. Elvis, the parts guy, fought with the service person in order to save me $23 dollars. I appreciated that. They did the work quickly, and everything looked good.
Until I got on the road.
Elvis gave me the wrong part. He gave me a brownish tinted piece of glass instead of a grey tinted piece of glass to match the rest of the truck. It isn't that noticeable when it's dark, but when the sun hits it, and from the inside, it is VERY obvious.
I called them this morning and Elvis said that they'll have to order the correct part, because they don't have any others in stock, and that they will more than likely (excuse me?!?) eat the cost of the part and installation, but he'll have to talk to his manager at 1:30pm to make sure.
He's going to call me back.
I like Elvis. He seems like a good guy. So I'm not worried that he is going to fight to take care of me. We'll see how this turns out.
