I knew this was only a matter of time. Ugh. I’ve known about his LiveJournal account for quite some time now. I was just waiting for him to notice mine.

As much fun as I had back in those days, I am very happy to have that chapter of my life pretty much closed for right now. *deep sigh* We’ll see how this goes. I guess I should add him back and say, “hi” or something.

One thing that IS good. At least he was never one of those abusive friends that always took advantage of me and got the best of me. He was arounf during those times, but he wasn’t one of them at all.

Meetup.com is a new web based service that promotes getting people in your area together, face-to-face with interests similar to yours. They have meetup groups for EVERYTHING, and if they don’t have what you’re looking for, you can add it. This service just started a few days ago, so don’t be dismayed because there are not many names on the list. Just add yours, spread the word, and wait. These kind of ideas are REALLY cool, to me, if enough people pick up on them. I have registered in several meetup groups. Join in!

Peeling Away

Deep Ellum

Scrape, peel, and pull
at this thick coating
covering the soft pink
parts of my heart.
And should you peel
enough away to catch
a glimpse, be gentle.
The shell comes back
quicker and harder each
time it is punctured.
