utilities
June 24th, 2002AMLI properties have started this thing where you can get all your utilities connected and ordered online. I think that's pretty cool. The interface is a little but difficult to understand, but, once you get the hang of it, it works well. My only complaint is that the website offered me Alarm Monitoring and Basic Cable options when those things are supposed to be included in my rent. Additionally, they didn't offer Washer/Dryer rental in any of the services there. I'll call them tomorrow (when my application should be processed) to double check about the cable and the alarm and find out where I should order a Washer/Dryer from (or should I buy another set? I don't know).
Electricity is Green Mountain Energy (so I can save money and trees, woo!). Phone is SBC (about $20/mo for basic services). Cable modem is AT&T Broadband (just under $40/mo not counting cable modem rental, but I think I can use the RCA from the Mansions. I'll have to call and ask).
It felt really good to order OUR electric service, OUR phone, and OUR cable modem. Nothing has ever felt more right. I am so giddy and excited it isn't even funny.
