September 5th, 2002:

believe it or not…

Believe it or not, I have cleaned everything except the bathroom, the bed sheets, and a few loads of laundry.

Tonight I need to go to Wal-Mart. I also needed to go to Target, but it looks like I’ll have to save that for tomorrow or not go at all, as they are about to be closed. I’ll also keep doing loads of laundry tonight, and move several drawers worth of clothing into the closet so that Jess can have some drawers too.

Tomorrow morning, when I get up, I’ll put the bed sheets in the washer and then throw them in the dryer and put the comforter in the washer right before I leave for work. Then, during my lunch break (they get longer and longer every day, it seems) I’m going to do the grocery shopping and put the bedspread in the dryer.

If you’ve ever wanted to see my apartment clean, you better get your ass over here quick. Jess and I are both slobs, so I don’t expect this’ll last much longer.

I think I’m going to put in a load of laundry and then go out for a celebratory cup of coffee and a trip to Wal-Mart. Then, when I get back, I’ll tackle the bathroom and go to bed.

cleaning

I’m going home to eat lunch. Then I’m going to clean.

My goal is to spend a few hours making the place look nice. I need to stop worrying about the small details and go for the big stuff. I’d rather have the closet jammed with crap than have everything in it nice and organized but have the rest of the house a disaster. So, I’m going home for lunch.

I’m going to put on some music, have some lunch, and then start cleaning. I’m not going to stop until I’ve been gone for two hours. Then tonight, I’m going grocery shopping, I’m going to pick up a few things I forgot to get this weekend, and then, if it’s not too late, I’ll tend to some of those house cleaning details this evening.

I really hate cleaning.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Jess. I love you like crazy.
