That’s it. I give in. I’m getting a cell phone. I’m paying the $500 deposit and getting a damn cell phone.
I hate you T-Mobile.
because a Reverend can't be wrong.
Jess and I decided to take a bus today. We were going to go to Deep Ellum, hang out for an hour, and then come home. I spent about 30 minutes at dart.org trying to decide which bus we should take and what time it would pick us up and where the stop was. We had 15 minutes to make it. Luckily, the bus stop is less than 1 block from our apartment. We packed up the camera, and a few jackets into my backpack, got all of our things ready, and left the apartment.
We walked the one block and as we got close to where the stop should be, Jess saw the sign. Then I saw the sign and we walked towards it. We got to it, with about three minutes to spare. I looked at the sign to make sure it was the right stop. It had our number on it (along with a few others) and we were at the correct intersection at the right time. Everything was perfect.
And then the bus drove by on the other side of the road. I can’t be sure, but I think the driver even waved and laughed as he passed us by.
Fuck!
Sure enough, there is another stop directly across the street from where we were standnig. Apparently the stop across the street takes you downtown, the stop that we were at takes you to the airport. Same route. Same number. Same intersection.
Next bus? One hour. Forget it.
Jess says that today we are going to clean the apartment and go grocery shopping. That’s a bunch of bullshit. Cleaning is very boring and should be done during the week, or at night when the sun isn’t shining. Grocery shopping is also very boring, time consuming, and it hurts my hands because I try to carry too many bags from the car at once.
I want to enjoy the sunlight. I want to breathe in fresh air. I want to get out of the house. I just want to do something besides sit here.
And for me, usually, when I have nothing else to do, I take pictures.
I had thoughts, initially, to jump on a DART bus (which I have never ridden) and just take it into Dallas somewhere. Walk around taking taking pictures for a few hours, and then jump back on a DART bus and head home. This still sounds like a pretty good idea. However, the DART bus portion of it isn’t really required. I just figured it would be something different.
If any of you Dallasites are looking for something to do this morning, let me know.
