Jess and I are going to Longview, TX for a friend’s graduation. We’ll be back tomorrow afternoon.

JohnCompanies
I’m considering ordering a JohnCompanies virtual Linux server. I’m looking for brief feedback from anyone who currently hosts with them, or has hosted with them in the past. In particular, I’m curious to know how responsive their servers are, and what you used them for. Additionally, I’d like to know where the daemon/service binaries reside, and whether their size subtracts from your alloted 4GB. Ideally, if you’d be so generous, I’d like a shell account on one of these virtual servers, so I can poke around a bit. And, while this is a long shot, I’d really like to hear from anyone who is running Debian in a chroot environment on a JohnCompanies server.
Thanks in advance.
Ice Cream with a Conservative Flavor
The Star Spangled Ice Cream Company offers “a conservative alternative to Ben and Jerry’s”. With flavors like “Iraqi Road”, “I hate the French Vanilla”, and (soon!) “US Navy Battle-Chip” you can enjoy your ice cream without “seeing your money funneled to wacko left-wing causes”. And remember, they proudly donate 10% of profits to charties that support the men and women of the armed forces. So take $76 out of your wallet, and buy a gallon today. Because when you buy Star Spangled Ice Cream, you’re buying American Freedom (note: if Star Spangled Ice Cream would like to use that line in a new line of advertising, please contact me). [via Keith]
