stupid fuckin' cable
May 5th, 2003I installed a new CD-RW drive this evening. It only took me 1.5 hours worth of trouble shooting to determine that, even though it looked perfectly fine and normal, the ribbon cable that came with the drive is bad.
I guess that just goes to show that, regardless of how absurd it sounds, you should never take anything for granted.
