Mozilla Firebird

I am now, officially, a Firebird (formerly Phoenix) user. So far, I’m happy. There are lots of neat extentions that make development and browsing easier than ever. It seems to be faster/snappier than Mozilla is, and it has all of the features from Mozilla that I’ve grown so accustomed to.

The only thing I hate hate hate is that a regular non-root user (when using a system-wide installation of Firebird) cannot install Extenstions without jumping through hoops. This should NOT be an issue. It’s as easy as telling Firebird that the installation location for extentions is in the users Profile, and not in the system wide install directory.

If you use any other browser (including Internet Explorer (the browser that Microsoft will no longer provide upgrades for) you should give it a shot. Install is small, fast, and easy-as-pie.
