Weight Loss: week 3 (191.6)

The first week, I did great. I worked out a lot. I never mentioned where I started, but it was around 194. So, in that first week, I lost about 1.4 pounds. Then, in week 2, I stuck to it pretty well, but started to slack off towards the end. I forgot to post here, but I didn't loose much, which was discouraging. In week 3, I continued the slacking from week 2, and, although I might be wrong, I don't think I worked out a single day that week. I still watched what I ate, but, didn't work out much at all. And now, I'm one day into week 3 at 191.6. So, in two weeks, I've lost another pound making 2.4 pounds, roughly, total.

That doesn't sound great, but I guess it's not bad either. I was hoping for 1 pound a week or MORE.

I figured just cutting out soda and sugar and cream in my coffee would account for about 400-600 calories a day. Aparently, it either doesn't, or my body doesn't work the way it should.

Exercize is already a lot easier. Almost to the point where it doesn't feel like it's working any more. So, I think I need to find something else to do during my cardio-vascular workouts. When I started, 20 minutes would have me sweating like a pig and feeling like I was going to explode. And now, yesterday, I did 30 minutes with no problems and felt like I could have gone even longer. The elliptical machine I'm using is awkward. If I go too fast, it makes me feel like I'm going to fly off the thing. About 150 strides a minute and I feel like if I go any faster I'll fall off. And increasing the resistance either makes it impossible to move or doesn't really change how "worked out" I feel. So, I think I may get a podometer and just start running. It's not as nice as using the machine, because at least then I can watch TV and not get too bored. But, it's just not doing it for me any more.
