Stephen King: Winner of Distinguished Contribution to American Letters Award

For the KingHeads in the family (*cough*Jess*cough*), Steven King was given the 2003 Distinguished Contribution of American Letters award for his novel, Carrie. Making Light has excerpts of his acceptance speech, or you can read the whole thing.

SIMCity for the SIMs

A new product for the SimHead on everyone's list (*cough*Bonnie*cough*), a third party developer has written an AddOn for SimCity. Now the SIMs themselves can play SimCity. With this AddOn, "your simulated people can simulate being the mayor of a simulated city.
No word yet on whether we are all just sims in a great simulation [...]

Cingular + ATT = ATTular?

Cingular and ATT wireless have merged in a $41 billion deal.
