Jess needs to renew her I-765 (EAD), at a nice cost of $120, before it expires. I was happy to see that this form can now be filed electronically.
On the first page of questions is asks for the applicant's middle name. I filled it out. However, regardless of how I typed it, it claimed that I was entering invalid characters. Thankfully, it wasn't a required field so I emptied it and moved on.
I filled out all the other pages and finally came to the Credit Card information page. I filled that out with my information and included the security number on the back of my card in the proper field as requested. The system told me my security code was not valid. I tried again and received a Java error. I tried again and was told it was not valid. So I used Jess' credit card. It still failed over and over again.
So… we'll be filing by paper. Ugh.
