This past week has been mostly uneventful. So uneventful, in fact, that I have to check my email log to remember what I did. Yep, just like I thought: nothing.
I did have my final appointment for tests yesterday. I got a VNG and a ECOG. The VNG was very interesting. The most horrible part is when they squirt water in your ears until the world starts spinning violently and you feel like you’re going to throw up. Then while you’re doing the best you can to not puke, they ask you a bunch of silly questions to keep your mind off of trying to stop yourself from throwing up. Smart, huh. At least the girl that did the tests was really nice. And cute. Cute never hurts.
When I went to the doctors, I had to park in a paid parking lot. No big deal. However, when I got to the gate to get in, the gate was already up and a ticket was sticking out of the machine. Not knowing how old that one was, I took it out and tossed it on the ground so that I could get my own ticket. The gate remained open and a new ticket wouldn’t come out. So… I parked. The gate closed as I went through it so, on my way into the hospital, I stopped by the gate and pressed the button again, hoping to get a ticket. Nope… nothing. So I went in inside. 2 hours later, as I was leaving, I pulled up to the toll booth. When the lady asked for my ticket I told her that it wouldn’t give me one. She said, “oh, I saw you trying to get it, so, I have your ticket right here.” The time on it was accurate, as I was just under 2 hours and, therefore, only required to pay $2. But what upset me was that the gate is connected to the toll booth. If she saw me struggling enough to set a ticket aside for me, why didn’t she just stick her head out and give me a ticket? Bitch.
