the power of Google

I caught the tail end of a breaking news story this evening about a fire in Las Colinas (a section of Irving, TX). Wanting more information, I began visiting each of the TV news websites one by one to find more information. Meanwhile, Jess went to "Google News":http://news.google.com/. I thought she was quite silly, thinking there was no way that google would have indexed a Dallas news site that quickly. I was unable to find the story, but, in one search, Jess "found it":http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/city/irving/stories/wfaa040802_wz_irvingfire.3b820081.html (registration required) as her "first result":http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&edition=us&ie=UTF-8&q=las+colinas+fire&btnG=Search+News.

I love Google.
