Another Laura Shoot

I’ve been shooting quite a bit lately. So, expect a few more images on display in the next couple of days.

Last Friday I had the chance to shoot Laura again. I love working with her. Not only is she incredibly beautiful, and a lot of fun to just sit around and talk to, but I can feel her becoming more and more comfortable with each and every shoot. She’s more and more willing to try new things and let me do what I want to do with her, and decide if it’s any good after it’s done.

I can also feel myself getting better. It all happens so quickly during the shoot, so it’s amazing to be able to reflect on it afterwards. I’m able to pose them quicker. I spend less time thinking about what I want and more time making it happen exactly as I want it to. Positioning the lights is becoming less guess-work and more of a habit. My shoots are getting shorter and shorter. Laura and I spent 2 hours, tops, shooting on Friday. I took about 100 shots, give or take a few. And, in the end, I got about 25 that are terrific. That’s a pretty good ratio for me.

The image below is my favorite from the set I’ll call “the baggy pants”, or something equally silly. The pants are mine but I think they look a lot better on her. There’s something incredible about the way a woman looks when she’s dressed very casually and Laura pulls it off particularly well although I’m certain I’ll try this look (hell, maybe even these pants) again on someone else.

Enjoy. Your comments and suggestions are *always* appreciated. You should see at least 3 more sets from me by the end of the weekend. Maybe more.
