No Broadcast Flag

“Fuck the FCC”:http://news.com.com/Court+says+FCCs+broadcast+flag+is+toast/2100-1030_3-5697719.html. If you haven’t heard already, The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals stated today that “The FCC has no authority to regulate consumer electronic devices that can be used for receipt of wire or radio communication when those devices are not engaged in the process of radio or wire transmission.” This means that, at least for the time being, *no broadcast flag*.

I really didn’t think we stood a chance on this one. It’s certainly not over yet, but this is a step in the right direction. Congratulations to those of you who fought for this.

No Pants Day Music

Wow! Can you believe there’s actually music inspired by “No Pants”:http://nopantsday.com/ Day? Check out Wally Pleasant’s “No Pants Day Anthem”:http://revjim.net/archives/2005/05/WallyPleasant_NoPantsDayAnthem.mp3 as well as Sara Hamman’s “I Wish it Were No Pants Day”:http://revjim.net/archives/2005/05/SaraPantsFinal3Mastered.mp3.

bq. And no pants shouldn’t be just worn around the house. God didn’t invent pants it was Levi Strauss. Pants! Who the hell needs em?! I got great legs but nobody ever sees em. — Wally Pleasant

No Pants Day!

No Pants Day!

Today is No Pants Day. Being at a place of work with a pants-required policy and having only a camera phone at my disposal, this is the best I can do for now.
