This station wasn’t too crowded, so I had a lot of opportunity to catch the train as it pulled in and choose what I wanted later. This was the best of the bunch, I think. The lighting is difficult to grab. At first glance, it seems quite flat, but, as you make your aperture smaller and smaller you start to realize how much there really is to capture, if you want it. So, it’s a huge process of selection since the camera can only get so much.

In this final image, I opted to blow out some of the highlights created by the over head lighting on the top of the train. Additionally, I gave up a lot of detail under and in front of the train.

In retrospect, I realize that, as appealing as this shot is, I should have thought “closer” and worked and capturing just the very front of the train and the track in front of it. Eh. Another shot for another time.

Your comments and suggestions are appreciated, as always.
