I just got word that one of the photographs I mailed last week may have been received in a less than perfect state. It appears that, despite the stay-flat envelope and protective plastic, the USPS likes to fold things up and stuff them into mailboxes. It was delivered to an address that the recipient hasn't arrived at yet, so it hasn't been opened to check for actual damages, but I hope it's simply rolled and not folded. If you've received your prints, please email me and let me know if it arrived okay. If it did not, I'll be happy to send another using an alternate shipping method.
I was told by the package making company, by a few resources online, and by the USPS that this packaging would be a safe and cost effective way to mail prints. I wonder if it's the packaging that's the problem, or simply the USPS's attempts to cram everything into your mailbox.
