This image was taken on an abandoned rail line in McKinney, Texas near a broken and abandoned bridge down a long unused dirt road.
Avid followers of my work will recognize that this is merely an alternate edition of "an image I posted":http://revjim.net/2006/03/21/unused-railway/ a few weeks ago. I also presented three versions of this same image in "subtleties of color":http://revjim.net/2006/03/21/the-subtleties-of-color/, an article about the different moods that can be presented by a photograph simply in the way it is edited.
In this case, this version seems to be the most popular of the three. However, the "previously posted version":http://revjim.net/2006/03/21/unused-railway/ runs a close second in terms of popularity. The "second edition":http://static.flickr.com/39/113273165_a5a92eadd0.jpg of this image, however, isn't very popular at all. It's amazing what a difference an edit can make.
