Here it comes, the tough love. I back you 100% with your book. But here are the cold facts. People need to see your commitment to publish the book. Where's the link on your page to take me to the order form, a description of the book, sample photos, the price, etc. You must market your product. All I ever saw was a blog entry..... Are the photos going to be the same as the ones you post? What is the topic of the book? Texas landscapes, families, life, etc. Tell us the info we need in order to MAKE THE DECISION to buy your book.

Go for the doing the book. If you don't you will kick yourself when your older. Learn from this process. If you feel strongly enough about doing this book, you will find what ever it takes in order to do it. If it means finding a part time job to get the money to print it, do it. If it means one less trip somewhere, Oh well. If it means trying to distinguish yourself from the rest of the photographers in this world do what it takes to do it. This is the American Dream. Your photos are good. Do a few art shows to promote yourself. Don't depend on other people (future customers) to make your dream. You have to do it yourself and only yourself. After following you for several years, you got what it takes, you are so not yourself lately. Give this book what it takes to be good and valuable, yourself(thats the creative part). What you learn here can be the stepping stone to your future. So don't blow it. So get off the pity wagon and get this book going and yourself.

I'm glad to hear you are going to push on with the book. I was sad to read that you were considering not going ahead with the book, but I understood why completely. It's frustrating as a creative person to feel one is working in a void, but I am glad you are making the book for you.

All I can say is I have thoroughly enjoyed viewing your photos since I came across your journal, not that long ago. I missed the last couple days and wow! I did not even realize you were working on a book. I, of course, fully support you as much as I can and even pre-ordered this morning. I am glad you have such a wonderful friend that helped remind you, encourage you, and support you! A good friend in deed!
