It's a little bit of a turn off to hear "no thanks to some of you." I feel you're coming from a place of anticipation and excitement, and I can appreciate that, but my own feeling jazzed up to promote your work feels a bit dampened when I hear I may not have done it fast enough. :( Yeah, the way I was going to do it may not have promoted your end of June celebratory sale, but it may still have increased your exposure, which from what I understand sounds equally important to you.

I know venting frustration is important, and I encourage you to share all aspects of this journey, but understand that if people feel personally attacked it may be counter-productive. I know in my experience the more positive the reinforcement, the more success. Also, maybe it isn't so personal (the not getting linked right away). It's a holiday weekend and it's the end of a week (a long one for some ppl ;)).

You do wonderful work, dude. Really. It's getting better with every day and project. :) I know the process may not be moving as fast as you like, but you're progressing... and it shows! Personally, I especially like the poetry coming out as well. I think it allows more creative energy to blossom.

Perhaps you should consider slowing down a bit. I was planning on posting a link for you this weekend, not that it would have done anything for you what with the 4 people who read my LJ. Two days is not near enough time to get decent results for a promotion like this. It's not even enough time to get a reaction from your audience here. My last 48 hours has been a blur of work, home, sleep with not much time for anything else inbetween.

What's your goal with your work? Commercial success or Art success? It takes a lot to have both. Random advice from my time messing in the trade: themes & specialties do best. From gallery shows to greeting cards to art prints to books, a theme will be more successful than an anthology approach. Look at Wegman or Geddes . For example 40 images like Rob and Vicki - New Love on a maternity theme would be a more compelling book project and would probably have greater sales if it was marketed properly.

While I love seeing your pictures all in one place, I can appreciate the need to move on. I will of course bookmark the new site and visit daily to see your work. :)

I hope one day to have the courage to move on, learn more & expand my own artistic journey.
