I use the Gary Fong Lightsphere Cloud and it was ok but didn't give the light output or snap that I was looking for so I modified it by taping a piece of foil on the inside rear of the unit. That gave a little more snap to the photos. Then Gary came out with the Chromedome lid that does the same thing as my aluminum foil but also bounces more light back into the bowl. That works great and I use it now as my standard diffuser combo: Lightsphere Cloud + Chromedome lid. They are both a bit pricey though. I'm now going to experiment with similar techniques using the alcohol bottle method.

Winn bought a fong dong and he doesn't care for it. Rather, both he and I just use the built-in bounce cards in our flashes. If I want something a little nicer, I've got a larger (~4x) white plastic card I'll rubber-band on (very similar to A Better Bounce Card). In the past I've let my assistants use that when they were just shooting straight-flash and they couldn't believe how much better their photos looked.
