The home inspection yesterday went wonderfully. He agreed with most of the things we already knew about, reassured us on a few things that we thought were problems but actually weren't, and showed us a few more things to be concerned about that we hadn't even considered.

All in all, it's a solid house with a few cosmetic blemishes that, if not repaired, could pose a problem eventually. But, these things won't cost more than $3,000-$4,000 to repair and can certainly wait until spring. So, all things considered, we're in. Our Mortgage broker is supposed to secure financing for us today and then, pending attorney approval, we'll have a closing date.

Today I need to contact the van lines and find out how long it will take them to move our stuff so we can plan the move out properly. More than likely, we'll be gone by the last weekend of September. So, here's the plan until then…
