Believe it or not, even when you've already put in an offer on a house, put your house up for sale, put a couple grand into fixing up your current house, and received a big fat check from your employer for moving expenses… that still doesn't mean it's a done deal.

Early today, we were this close … |—- THIS CLOSE —-| … to staying in Texas and not moving to Syracuse. But — presto chango — and now we are again. For a limited time (until Monday morning) we do have the option, however, to keep the promotion and raise I got, get reimbursed for any expense we've encountered in setting up a move to Syracuse, and still stay in Texas. But we're still going.

I will, however, accept non-refundable gifts of money, praise, servitude, favors, and lewd photographs if you'd wish to attempt to convince us otherwise.
