I now have a big ass TV. You know, one of those ones where you walk in the room and say "Holy fuck! That's a big ass TV!". Yeah. One of those.
Not as big as Skwid's mind you, but big. For me, REALLY big.
Of course my old receiver wouldn't switch Component video connections, so I also have a shiny new Yamaha receiver. Anyone want to buy an old but in top shape outstanding Onkyo receiver?
Then I found out that my DVD player can't seem to send an HD signal even though I'm using component video connections. My guess is that, since it's 6 years old, it's just confused. I know it isn't progressive scan. So.. I guess I need a new DVD player.
Oh, and my Dish Network DVR that was supposed to be HD Ready… it isn't. So, I'm not quite sure what we're gonna do about that.
This is a whole lot of bullshit for a guy that doesn't watch much TV. But, goddamn it, we are now. Movie night at our place? Oh yes. When's a good time for you?
