• 09:29 At this point I’m little more than a sleeping bag to her. And I’m perfectly fine with that. #
• 11:08 Baby has been cleared. Just waiting for Jess to be cleared. Then we can go home. #
• 12:08 Jess has her staples out and we’ve been discharged. Leaving in the next 30 mins. #
• 12:53 Heading home now. I think I’ll go 10 the whole way. #
• 13:52 Jess and the baby are home with jess’ mom. I’m, of course, running errands. #
• 18:21 While the baby sleeps I’m spending some time with Toby so he doesn’t feel unloved. #
• 23:14 Waking up for feeding. Someone moved all the diaper stuff I had laid out so I ended up having to frantically look for more. Grr. #
• 02:38 Another feeding. I get burp duty which is awesome because she is so warm. #

• 07:53 Jess is doing great. Baby is doing great. Possibly getting discharged today. #

• 04:31 They gave Celeste 22ccs of formula by syringe last night because she’s lost 10% of her weight which is just barely ok. #

• 05:36 This is the worst hotel ever. Everything makes noises and they send house keeping in in the middle of the night. One star. ;) #
• 05:54 Jess is feeding Celeste then I get to change her diaper. Someone got the better end of that deal. Literally. #
• 09:56 Another good feeding. Empty diaper (woo) and a little walk for Jess. Now leaving to pick up my MIL. #
• 15:18 I’m holding her now as she slowly drifts asleep. It’s incredible. #
• 15:44 C?leste finally pees! We’d been worried because she hadn’t. Of course she did it in mid change. But i’ve never been more happy about a pee. #
• 17:06 My first time alone with C?leste. She’s sound asleep in my arms. #
• 21:53 Just brought my MIL home. A quick change of clothes a few items to grab and then back to the hospital. #
• 23:17 Poor girl has gas. Bad. My sister sat with her. I tried. The nursery tried. Jess is trying now. She’s hurting and I don’t like it. #
• 23:29 Finally she rests a bit. As soon as she did we sent her to the nursery so we can try to get a bit of sleep. G’nite for now. #

• 04:38 Now we get to walk for an hour and then they’ll check her again. #
• 06:00 Looks like this is early labor only. They are gonna check her a bit more, offer her some ambien and then send us home for now. #
• 06:38 At 2cm now. So we’re staying. #
• 08:44 Fitted with IV just in case. Very regular contractions now. Walking around. Checking in every 30 mins. She prefers standing, so we stand. #
• 09:13 Baby’s heart rate decelerating with contractions. Slight concern. Possibly just a slightly pinched cord. #
• 09:16 Two minutes between contractions now. #
• 09:21 Water broken. 6.5 cm now. #
• 09:30 Into transition now. #
• 09:40 Heart rate still droping from time to time. Trying another position. #
• 10:14 They put a heart monitor in the baby’s head to get a better reading. Still having a hard time keeping rate up. Still at 7cm. #
• 10:22 Contraction. Nap. Contraction. Nap. Contraction. Nap. In 10 second intervals, or so it seems. #
• 11:07 I don’t like this at all. Grr. #
• 11:25 Still 8cm. #
• 11:27 This is, literally the end of the 11th hour of labor and only 2 hours ofb sleep the night before. I’m sure Celeste will be grateful. :) #
• 12:01 She’s taking a nice long nap now. It’s nice to see her at rest. She’s so beautiful. Baby’s heart rate is strong. #
• 12:39 The epidural is really letting her rest between contractions. She’ll be able to enjoy Celeste when the time comes. #
• 12:48 She’s at 9cm. Petocin turning off for a bit now. #
• 12:54 Baby Heart rate too low. Petocin stopped. Some other drug to stop contractions. May not be working. Consulting with doctor. #
• 13:32 C section. They are preping her now. #
• 13:57 7 lbs 10.9 oz. 19 inches. #
• 14:50 Celeste is BEAUTIFUL. And so is Jess. Both are doing quite well. As soon as the baby gets her shots Jess can see her again. #
• 15:02 I keep trying to send a pic but t-mobile isn’t letting me. Sorry. #
• 15:41 Check facebook for photo. Also, another plus. Celeste can one day say she was delivered by Dr finger. Oh yes. #

• 00:29 Jess is now taking her first walk. We’re very proud. And she brushed her own teeth. Tomorrow we master potty training. #

• 06:18 christmas + ready to have a baby + cold + sinus infection + my first nose bleed ever = not a good day. No action on the baby front this AM. #
• 19:59 Well. It looks like no baby today. I guess this weekend was just a false alarm. I’ll keep you posted. #
• 01:50 Now we’re talkin’. Contractions between 4 and 6 minutes for about an hour now. #
• 03:27 Dilated only 1.5cm. Will stay for 2 hours. If there is more dilation then she stays here. If not she goes home. #

• 06:23 awake. still sick. getting worse. still no baby. Jess seems to be sleeping well though, so that’s good. #

• 14:15 Just saw a pair of men’s underwear wadded up in the middle of the bathroom floor. Not sure if that makes him a lucky or an unlucky guy. #

• 10:52 Jess has been having contractions this morning. She’s at about 15 minutes apart now, so there’s still a ways to go. #
• 18:18 False alarm. Doesn’t look like there will be any baby tonight. #
• 19:55 Just got back from a walk. Still no baby. Contractions fluctuating between 5 and 15 minutes apart. Looks like it won’t be today. #
