At one point I decided to give blood and found out that I couldn't because of a tattoo. Then I called anyway just to see and they said that the tattoo would not prevent me from giving blood but that they were REALLY busy that day (just after 9/11) and that I might consider coming a different day. Is there a strong reason for this? I only ask because I am strongly opposed to giving blood. I'm the only person I know who has begged off for "religious reasons" despite the Red Cross lady saying there did not exist any religious belief on Earth that prevents the giving of blood, only moments before.
