Of course the absolute *best* way you can support, me, my writing, my art, and Daniel James Photography as a whole is to purchase a print or book a photography session. However, sometimes you may want to say “thank you” or “I appreciate your work” in some other way. Perhaps you’d prefer to give without getting anything in return. Perhaps you posed for a test session and appreciated the experience. Perhaps you live too far away to book a photography session, don’t have a place to hang a print, or just can’t afford to spend that much.

This is more expensive than you think. Lenses, lights, backgrounds, other equipment, clothing, props, make-up, travel expenses, hosting fees, studio rental and lots of other things all add up very quickly. The amount of time and energy involved in each photo session, various expeditions, and keeping this site updated with fresh images for you to see and enjoy is enormous. Of course I love doing it or I wouldn’t be. But every penny of help I can get from you, means that I can do it for that much longer and produce work that is that much better.

If you can find it in your hearts and budgets to donate *even $1* (PayPal won’t let me accept anything less) it would mean so much to me. If even 1/4 of those people who enjoy my photographs dropped a $1 into my hat when they did, I’d be able to _quit my day job_ and put even more of myself into my art.

I do this because I enjoy it. But as my costs continue to grow, it becomes more and more difficult to enjoy. It’s important that we support the things we love and enjoy, from music to art to literature and everything in between, to ensure they are here for us again tomorrow.
